🌧️ Wet Weather Can’t Wash Away Bay Spirit! 🏏💙

Unfortunately, overnight and early morning showers on Saturday meant that most of our junior fixtures were washed out. 🌧️☔ While it was disappointing for our young cricketers who were ready and excited to play, sometimes the weather has the final say!

Our open turf teams were the lucky ones, managing to get on the park and represent the Bay with pride. 💪🧡 It was great to still see some cricket played despite the conditions, showing the resilience and commitment within our club.

To all of our juniors who missed out — keep those kits ready and the energy high! Your time to shine will be back before you know it. ⭐🏏

Thank you to the parents, volunteers and coaches for your flexibility and understanding. That’s what community sport is all about — sticking together, rain or shine. 💙

Here’s hoping for clear skies and full grounds next weekend! ☀️🙌

Open Turf Division 1

Runaway Bay Seagulls Opens Div 1 v Broadbeach Robina – Rain-Reduced Clash

Chasing a revised target of 135 from 35 overs after rain interrupted proceedings, Runaway Bay fell just short in a tense finish, bowled out for 129 in 34.4 overs.

Early Setbacks in Tough Conditions

The chase got off to a difficult start with Flynn Richardson trapped lbw early, and when Taika Hoare followed soon after, the Seagulls were 2/13 and under immediate pressure. Broadbeach Robina’s attack bowled tight lines with the new ball, making scoring difficult on a surface that offered assistance.

Captain Jake Schultz joined Will Altass at the crease and the pair began the rebuild. They absorbed pressure and looked to stabilise the innings, taking the score to 64 before Schultz was dismissed for a patient 18 from 49 balls.

Altass Anchors the Fightback

Through it all, Will stood tall. His composed 70 from 96 balls was the backbone of the chase, blending resilience with timely boundaries. He kept the required rate in sight and gave the Seagulls a genuine chance deep into the innings.

However, regular wickets at key moments halted momentum. A.J. Francesconi and Rocco Fisher both fell as Runaway Bay tried to lift the tempo, and when Stephen Watson was dismissed at 6/113, the equation became increasingly tight.

A Nail-Biting Finish

With the target within reach, Will continued to battle, but the pressure built as partners ran out. With only 8 batters his dismissal at 7/129 proved decisive, leaving the Seagulls just six runs shy of the revised target.

Plenty of Positives

While the result didn’t fall Runaway Bay’s way, there were strong positives to take from the performance. Altass’ fighting 70 showcased maturity under pressure, and the side remained in the contest right until the final overs despite early setbacks.

In a rain-affected match where momentum was hard to build, the Seagulls showed grit and determination — falling just short in what proved to be a hard-fought encounter.

First Grade

The 1st grade went on a trip away to alberton for this weeks fixture. We turned up at a very damp and windy ground but both teams where keen to get the fixture on so with a bit of hard work from there players we looked to be starting on time.

We won the toss and had a bat first. It started well with sterlo and Talha batting well, working hard in tough conditions. Sterlo got a free hit early and made the most hitting a big six into the leg side. Yas came to the crease fairly early and battled hard with Corey but before long the debutant Lucas came to the crease and battled hard with yas to steady at ship at 25-5 the debutant showed great character and fight on a tricky surface to top score with an 18. Unfortunately there wasn’t much to report after that and we were dismissed for 80.

We knew with some character and fight with our bowling lineup we could really put alberton under pressure. Ben canning and Monib opened the bowling and both hit excellent lines and lengths early. Ben canning with the early breakthrough and Monib bowling quick at his end. The pair finished there spells with the team 4 down. Both taking 2 with them. Excellent catching by both Taika and Ted. Myself and Ted came on to try and keep the momentum going, Ted bowled with great rhythm looking very dangerous and we managed to get them 7 down but despite a great fight from the lads we lost by 3 wickets. A great effort by the lads and we go again next week.

⛳ Mini Golf Magic at Runaway Bay Cricket Club 🎉

What a fantastic night we had on Saturday at the Runaway Bay Cricket Club as Mini Golf took over the greens! 🌟

We were so lucky to witness the incredible putting talent on display from players of all ages. From our littlest golfers – just 3 years old – right through to some of our most seasoned members, the enthusiasm and competitive spirit were truly inspiring. 💚

It was wonderful to see family groupings playing side by side, along with our ladies and juniors all getting involved. The laughter, friendly competition, and community spirit made it a night to remember. Fun was had by all, and it was clear that everyone enjoyed being part of something special. 😊

A big congratulations goes to Liam Doggett, who claimed the Wild Thing prize after holding off strong competition in the final from Jack Hocart and Connor Boyd. What a thrilling finish! 🏆👏

We also loved seeing so many players dressed up, turning the evening into a spectacular event filled with colour, creativity, and personality. 🎭✨ It truly added to the vibrant atmosphere and made the night even more memorable.

Thank you to everyone who came along, participated, and helped create such a fantastic community event. Nights like these remind us why Runaway Bay is such a special place to be. ❤️

We can’t wait for the next one!

2nd Grade

Showers and cloudy conditions preceded the Bay 2s Round 20 fixture at Loxton 1 against wooden spoon contenders, Alberton. With the pitch being relatively underdone owing to mid-week precipitation, I decided to bowl should we win the toss. It was therefore to my surprise that when the coin landed favourably for the Alberton skipper, he declared, ‘we’ll have a bat’.

With a south-easterly gale blowing diagonally across the pitch, Stevie kicked off proceedings with a tidy over into the breeze. George Edney leapt at the opportunity Stevie had provided to claim the first wicket by snicking off one of the Alberton openers with just his 4th delivery of the match. After a couple of eventless overs from both opening bowlers, Stevie claimed yet another big scalp as he exacted his retribution against one M. Yiend. After receiving several lashings at the hands of the Alberton skipper in the past two seasons, Stevie (1-28 from 6) once again proved himself as one of the most lethal bowlers in the competition as he drew a false stroke from Yiend who subsequently chopped on. With the score going nowhere, George claimed another big wicket of Lavender and with 10 overs gone Alberton were tietering at 3-34, George finished his best spell of the season thus far with figures of 2-20 from 6overs and was replaced by Mitch Bailey who picked up right where George had left off by applying pressure from ball one. Tom Gossett (1-24 from 8) replaced Stevie at the northern end and after a few uncharacteristically loose first few overs, locked in and kept the scoring down through the middle overs. As so often is the case, Mitch Bailey hurled down too many deliveries that batters in our division are not good enough to snick and when he finished his spell of 6 overs 1-19, it felt like he might have taken 5 or 6 wickets on another day. Will Altass (2-20 from 4.5) replaced Mitch and he too held his own, while I (3-13 from 3) replaced Tom Gossett at the northern end. Will and I closed out the innings by taking 5 wickets between us as Alberton lost their last 4 wickets for just four runs. As Will claimed the final two wickets in as many deliveries Alberton were dismissed for 124 from 33.5 overs. Another shoutout to Nathan Proctor who claimed 7 dismissals made up of five catches and two stumpings.

With Hocart going down with an injury during the warm ups (thanks Tom), we were forced to make a change at the top of the order. Nathan Proctor was therefore this week, partnered by Connor Boyd who was coming off a bit of form from the week before. Nathan was characteristically aggressive early on a did not shy away from punishing anything wide nor short. Meanwhile Connor was characteristically… well… not very aggressive. The pair survived the opening onslaught and made it to the drinks break at 20 overs with the score at 0-71. With a bonus point on offer and Nathan eyeing off his first half-century of the season, the instructions were to keep knocking it around for another 5 overs then get stuck in. And dear reader, I’m happy to announce that was pretty much what happened. Nathan indeed raised the bat for his 50, only a few overs after the break, while Connor finally found the boundary against the part timers from Alberton. The pair knocked off the total in just 29.4 overs to secure yet another bonus point. Connor Boyd finished with a scratchy yet effective 46*(91) while the play of the day went to Nathan Proctor whom after claiming 7 scalps with the gloves added a blistering 61*(87) that featured 9 boundaries to his return for the day.

This was another easy win that was set up beautifully by our bowlers. Any attack that takes 3 wickets for 30 in the first 10 overs is going to be hard to get on top of. We were hungry in the field, bowled with discipline and held our chances. With the bat we were ruthless. Despite a few seemingly boring moments through our batting innings, both Connor and Nathan practised exactly what I have been preaching in the past few weeks – “Be ruthless. If we get on top, do not give the opposition a sniff.” We look ahead to taking on an in-form Burleigh at Loxton 1 next week.

Patrick.

What an incredible day at the Bay as Family Fun Day brought smiles, laughter and plenty of cricket action to our beloved Sam Loxton Oval! 🌞🙌

The main attraction saw Freddie’s Selected XI take on Teddy’s Team, with both sides absolutely pumped for the occasion! 💥🔥 Players from all grades pulled on the spikes, and we even had a handful of our junior stars stepping up to join the action. It was fantastic to see such a mix of experience and emerging talent sharing the field together.

Unfortunately, the weather had other ideas and the match couldn’t be completed 🌧️ — but that didn’t dampen spirits at all!

During the change of innings, the fun continued with a crowd-favourite showdown — Bay Women vs Bay Kids! 👏💪 The energy was electric, the laughter was loud, and the kids brought enthusiasm in bucketloads. So many players made their debut on our hallowed turf, and it was a proud moment seeing new faces out there living and loving the greatest game of all — cricket! 🏏✨

3rd grade v Helensvale

We had a home game on loxton 2 we won the toss and chose to have a bat, We opened up with Brendo and Josh and we got off to a flying start with Brendo first to depart for 54 from a very average LBW decision, This brings Lucas Frazer to the crease, Lucas played with ease taking the game by the horns being well supported by Josh, Lucas was next to go for 34 while our score was 2 for 153, Josh left us 2 runs later for an excellent innings of 58 off 86 balls, From there we had a bit of a collapse, The old fossils Colin Wakefield and Raffles with a combined age of over 100 showed some resistance both ending on 11 a piece we were bowled out for 195 with 1 ball left in the innings, from the start we had and the road we were playing on I felt we left 50 runs out there but as a team we knew we had to bowl well,
We opened the Bowling with Jake Shultz and Cam Davis. Helensvale followed suit with the start we had blasting a quick 46 before Jake taking our first wicket with a nice catch behind by Creedy, Josh came on after a quick one over spell by Cam, The wind at the bay on Saturday was blowing a Gale and in fairness to Cam and Josh both battled into the strong breeze that wasn’t easy, Jake bowled 6 overs 1 for 28 while Josh at the other end 8 overs 2 for 38 Jared Austin came on after Jake Bowled well until his last over bowling 7 wides finishing with 4 for 32 off his 8, Kane Taylor making his 3rd grade debut also steadied the ship 5 overs none for 18 but it was Kanes hands helping save the day with 4 great catches in slips, Kunal and Hamza came on to finish the game for us Kunal 2 wickets for 3 runs off 1.2 overs and Hamza 1 for 7 off his 1 over with us bowling Helensvale out for 142 runs, This win guarantees us a home Semi final,

Runaway Bay Navy vs Coomera – School Field

Coomera won the toss and batted first, posting a strong 4/224 from 36 overs.

There were some solid efforts with the ball. Bradley Collett was the most economical, taking 0/19 off 6 overs, while Flynn Richardson, Jack Holmes, Sean Clark (c) and Jed Sessarago all picked up a wicket each.

Chasing 225 was always going to be tough and early wickets made it harder. Jamie Phillips showed great patience to finish 26*, while Sean Clark remained 11* and Flynn Richardson added 16.

Runaway Bay Navy finished on 77, with Coomera taking the win.

Last game for the year for us as we have the bye last round. Was a pleasure playing with everyone during the season and hope to see you all at presso.

Round 20 & a home game agianst Palm Beach in Labrador because there was only 3 grounds available at Runaway Bay!! With Cappy, Grossy & Snitty all out it’s fair to say Bizza nearly burst his foofer valve (foofer valve refers to the anus, which is said to be busted or strained during extreme physical exertion or intense stress) when Azza & Fridge pulled out Satuday morning with the man flu & a broken fingernail. Fortunately we enticed Birdy back for a game along with 2 young champions in Noah McQueen & Rocco
Fisher. With the inclusion of Noah we found Emily watching her favourite child in her rocking deck chair sipping Pinot Grigio for the afternoon meaning Noah had to drive home. Anyway, Bizza lost the toss & we found ourselves fielding first again. Biz threw Schuey the new pink cherry & he had an immediate effect bowling their opener for 4, with the score on 16. Their number 3 strode to the crease with white pants, no gloves & no pads. Birdy took up the attack from the other end declaring it wouldn’t take long to get
this bloke out, but old mate had other ideas dispatching poor old Birdy to all parts including a switch hit for 6, Birdy’s contribution with the ball 0/25 from 2 overs, lucky he can play soccer or whatever game he played. The next wicket was a runout with a deadly throw from the skipper leaving Palmy 2/58 but their runs were coming quickly courteay of old mate who was dropped on 9. Bizza threw Andy Foe the ball & he soon had the wicket of the padless & gloveless one, caught behind by Birdy for 55 off 25 with them going at around 10 an over, it was a timely wicket. Andy captured the next wicket, caught by Bizza
with the score scoring significantly with Noah captuing a wicket with figures of 1/20 off 6 & young Rocco 0/21 from his 4. We decided to stick with spin as they were finding it hard to get the spinners away so Conan & Nate were thrown the ball but neither made an impact. Duane was next to bowl & he claimed the wicket of their skipper who was starting to dispatch us to all parts, the score now 6/204, a timely wicket, their score looking a bit thin until Bizza brought himelf on to give us something to chase, their score was soon 250,
his contribution 0/42 off 4 with him declaring the overnight rain made the concrete pitch soft, that’s what Emily said anyway! We opened the batting again with the 2 decoys, Conan & Jamie & they got off to a solid enough start with Conan the first to go for 23 off 23 with the score on 40. Jamie was next to go for 28 off 22, the score now 72. Luke came in at 3 with the fall of Conans wicket & Brad with the fall of Jamie. Luke got straight into
his work while Brad was a little more watchful. Biz was pacing up & down the boundary yelling we need 9 an over, Brad decided to shut him up helping himself to 15 from the next over while Luke was rapidly charging towards triple figures. In the blink of an eye, 9 an over was soon to turn into 3 an over with Luke passing the ton before he was run out for 112 off 75, the pair sharing a 168 run partnership. Birdy came out only needing 17 to win declaring, i’ll do this in 3 balls, but it actually took 4 balls, he finished on 11 not out with Foxon’s finest Brad 71 not out at the other end. We completed the task in the 31st over, not a bad result with 5 of our best out. We’re still sitting on top with 1 round to go, a good win next week should see us stay there heading into finals.
Cheers JH.

🏏 Weekend Match Report – Runaway Bay Orange Community Div 3 💙🧡

What a cracking contest in Round 20 of the CGC Community League Division 3! 💥 Runaway Bay Orange took on Helensvale Gold 6th Grade at Riverstone Crossing Park (Oval 1 – South) in a thrilling one-day encounter.

Batting first, the Bay posted a competitive 9/160 from our 40 overs. 💪

At the top of the order, James Keith led from the front with a patient and composed 33 (50), setting the platform for the innings. Dale Rachow added valuable momentum with 27 (33), while Ian Coyne chipped in with a handy 22 (36) to keep the scoreboard ticking. 🏏👏

It was a gritty team effort — partnerships were built, pressure was absorbed, and the fight was evident throughout the innings. 💙

In reply, Helensvale chased down the target, finishing 8/162, but not without being seriously tested by our bowlers. ⚡

David Thompson was outstanding with the ball, claiming 3/23 (6) and keeping the pressure firmly on the opposition. 🔥 James Vincent backed him up beautifully with 2/21 (3), while Sikander Singh added another wicket with a tight spell of 1/8 (3).

The highlight of the chase was a strong innings from Helensvale’s Sikander Singh (73 off 45), which ultimately proved decisive. Despite that, our boys kept fighting right until the final overs, pushing the game down to the wire and forcing Helensvale to work hard for every run. 💪

Although the result didn’t fall our way this time, the spirit, effort and competitiveness shown by Runaway Bay Orange was something to be proud of. 🙌 The energy in the field, the discipline with the ball, and the determination with the bat reflect the strength and depth building within our club.

We go again next week — hungrier, stronger and ready to bounce back! 💙🧡

Unlocking FrogBox Highlights with PlayHQ and LillyPad

This season, the Runaway Bay Cricket Club is excited to bring more of our cricket to life through FrogBox live streaming and highlight packages. We’ll be aiming to stream as many games as possible across Premier Cricket, Veterans, Juniors, and Women’s cricket, showcasing the talent and spirit of our club to family, friends, and supporters everywhere.

To make the most of this technology, we need the help of our scorers. The key lies in how we use PlayHQ alongside FrogBox’s highlight program, LillyPad. Here’s how it works: When live scoring in PlayHQ, you’ll notice a button on the screen labelled “Bowler Running In”*. This button should be pressed just before—or right as—the bowler begins their approach. Doing this triggers the recording of that particular ball, ensuring any exciting moment (like a wicket, a six, or a boundary) is captured for our highlight reel. By consistently pressing this button, our scorers help create accurate and exciting highlight packages that not only celebrate individual performances but also promote our teams and club culture. With everyone’s contribution, we can build a library of memorable moments that players and supporters will be able to watch back and enjoy for years to come. Let’s work together to make this season one to remember—both on and off the field.

Over 50’s Navy

RD 9 40s div 2 vs Coomera

Sunday found us playing at Loxton 1 against Coomera for the last home & Away match of the season,

Things started well when Col won another coin toss & as usual we had a bat.

Before we started the day we had a 1 min silence with the coomera boys to remember Jason’s mate JJ a veterans legend & Nsw veterans president who tragically passed this week.

We started proceedings with Jason and Lee,

Unfortunately Lee went 3rd ball so 1/0,

Sean promoted this week in at 3,

the boys faced some really disciplined bowler early from the Coomera boys, 10 overs in we were 1/34 losing Jason(16) followed by Sean (15) wasn’t great

At 3/36, Col & Birdy got together and set about putting some pressure back on the bowlers, which they did putting on 75 off 69 partnership though some power hitting & hard running, Col’s fitness and patience ran out took a swipe at one and was out for 28,

Birdy falling shortly after just short of his 50 for a well made 46 off 42 balls 2 x4s & 3 6s , 5/118

Josh Hoare and Nathan Rudd continued the good work putting on another 41 before Ruddy(27) tried to sweep one with his leg and was given LBW,

5/159 off 30.3 overs the platform set to finish strongly and get to 200+ Trav & Josh did a great job of doing just that until the last over when Trav decided to play his first ever reverse sweep !! God only knows how he got away with it but got 4,

he tried it again this time not so lucky out caught,

now at this point Critto who had the pads on for about an hr including his helmet and had been nervously pacing around all around the veranda, to the amusement of all the boys was required to face 1 ball!!!!As critto strode to the wicket with instructions from everyone of 4 or 6 ringing on his ears …the boys weren’t to confident some suggesting stumps may fly...

the ball was bowled followed by a nervous swing and you guessed it stumps everywhere to a large amount of amusement from the gallery… back luck Pete better luck next time mate,

So after all that we finished with 8/220 off our 40 overs, what we thought was a good defendable score on a pitch that played reasonably well for the most part just with some variable bounce at times which our bowlers would exploit,

After our delightful lunch thanks again to all the club helpers for that, we took to the field,

Coomera’s openers came out determined to get a fast start and their left hander did just that putting our bowlers to the sword early, 21 off the first 3 overs, 28 off 5 bit we were slowly bringing down the rate with some great bowling from Josh who finished his spell of 7 overs with 0/28 but was extremely unlucky beating the bat numerous times and having a couple of catches go down,

0/68 off 15

Birdy came in the attack as the opener retired at his 50 off 44,

And had immediate effect grabbing the first wicket,

Trav was being very tight at the other end but a change bringing Ruddy into the attack brought results with him grabbing 2 wickets, and birdy another to reduce them to 4/104 off 25,

Birdy got through 6 overs before he had to go off to see a Taylor swift concert lol (Ed Sheeran) he got 2/ 20 it cost himself the Man of match

That brought Craig McGhie (1/27) into the attack who got a quick wicket 5/125,

Their second left hander had came in and was hitting it well and putting pressure back on and keeping them in the game,

Shuey came back into the attack taking over from Ruddy(2/46) grabbed 2 wickets to finish his 7 with 2/45,

7/168 off 33 overs the second lefty retired,

And which meant 1 more wicket and we brought back the opener,

Trav came back on which caused some strange things to happen like a bloke hitting the ball basically back to trav and setting off for a run only for trav to swoop on ball throw to Lee for the runout 8/182, 39 runs required off 29 with 2 wickets in hand but there 2 retirees to return,

Trav immediately steps up to the plate, going straight thru the opener first ball on his return 9/182,

Clarky was now in his customary role in the death overs and his 3rd over drawing the Lefty down the pitch only to beat him with flight, dip, turn it had it all well if u ask Clarky anyway

Lee done the rest, game over Coomera bowled out for 193 great work boys oh and speaking of Clarky he pulled off one of the most remarkable pieces of fielding that id say has ever been done on Loxton oval, with a ball smashed down the ground passed Clarky at mid off as the ball was flying passed him he threw out his boot kicking the ball back up to himself catching it in his right hand in one gracefully movement turned and threw the ball back to the bowler saving an almost certainly boundary was the most amazing thing most of us have witnessed this year im sure it will be on frogbox for everyone to see well done clarky!!

So a great win by everyone involved that secures us a home semi final to be held at Loxton 1 on Sunday 8th of March against Mudgeeraba hopefully everyone can get down & support the boys as we continue our push to bring home the silverware thanks for reading

GO BAY!!

Women Navy Sapphires

Navy Womens Match Report

We woke up on Sunday morning to beautiful sunny skies — a welcome bonus considering how wet things were on Saturday. Conditions couldn’t have been better, and to top it off we finally won a toss, electing to field first.

The decision paid off immediately with some tight, disciplined bowling from Shana, Amelia and G, backed up by outstanding fielding from Nic, Kell and Kirst. The pressure never let up and we were able to restrict Helensvale to 147, a great allround effort in the field.

Our chase wasn’t without its challenges. G went down while batting, hobbling off with an ankle injury. But showing real grit and determination, she returned later, and with Shana selflessly coming back on as her runner, the momentum stayed with us. Solid contributions came right through the order, and some late hitting from Amelia, Cath and G ensured we crossed the line comfortably. Thanks again to Kell and Kirst for filling in for us. Much appreciated!

With only one game to go before finals, the group is coming together nicely and starting to peak at exactly the right time — getting ready for the pointy end of the season

Helensvale v Runaway Bay Pink Diamonds

Rugby Park – Result: 3-153 v 1-127

The rain kindly held off overnight, although Rugby Park still presented a slightly soggy and damp outfield. Runaway Bay won the toss and elected to field first, allowing the sun some time to dry the surface before we took to the bat.

Helensvale came out strongly, scoring 17 runs off the first over and putting early pressure on our side. However, we quickly regained our composure and responded with disciplined, consistent bowling across the entire team. Combined with excellent fielding — every player chasing down even the slowest balls — we restricted Helensvale to just three boundaries for the innings.

A special thank you to Maggie, Shervonne and Nev for stepping in to ensure we could take the field. We truly appreciate your support, and all three of you played incredibly well.

Maggie claimed our sole wicket of the game with a superb delivery that went straight through to the stumps — a fantastic ball and a well-deserved reward.

After drinks, we headed out to bat. Our mother-and-daughter duo, Maggie and Emily, opened the innings, with Maggie striking a lovely boundary four and Emily, consistent as always, keeping the scoreboard ticking over steadily.

Faith and Nev were next to the crease. Nev, playing her very first game, faced 13 balls and scored 5 runs — an outstanding effort in what can be a very daunting first appearance with the bat. The support and encouragement shown by the Helensvale ladies toward Nev was heartwarming and a true reflection of what Division 3 cricket is all about: fun, camaraderie, and helping each other grow in the game. Helensvale awarded Nev Player of the Match for her willingness to step in and give cricket a go. Congratulations, Nev — so well deserved!
Tracy and Lori followed, both keeping the runs flowing nicely, with Tracy finishing in style by striking a beautiful four off her final ball.

Gaylene started and finished her innings with boundaries and, combined with a wonderful bowling spell — including clean, straight deliveries — was awarded Player of the Match by the captain. A fantastic all-round performance.

Teagan once again had a terrific game, tirelessly chasing down ball after ball in the field, then backing it up with an almost run-a-ball performance with the bat. Well done, Teagan.

Shervonne was our final batter and, like Maggie and Nev, did a wonderful job stepping in to help the team. For her outstanding bowling performance as a first-time player and her excellent team spirit, she was awarded Player of the Day by the coach — a fantastic effort.

Unfortunately, the final result saw Helensvale finish on 3-153, with Runaway Bay Pink Diamonds reaching 1-127. While we fell short on the scoreboard, the spirit, teamwork, and enjoyment of the day were true highlights.

A big thank you to Geoff for scoring, Gareth for coaching and umpiring, and to our ever-reliable cheer squad member, Tim.

Well done, ladies — another great day of Division 3 cricket!
