π§‘π Help Us Build the Safest & Smartest Cricket Club on the Coast
Coaching Courses & Bluecard information
Sammy the Seagull here! π¦π
Iβve got a pretty important message for the Bay community today.
We talk a lot about developing better cricketers, building great teams and creating an environment our kids love being part of.
But if we genuinely want to be Gold Coastβs No.1 family cricket club, we need to keep developing the people who make junior cricket possible too β our coaches, managers, parents and volunteers.
π COACH360 IS NOW LIVE!
Coach360, Cricket Australiaβs new home for coach learning and development, is now available.
And we want the Bay community to get behind it.
Whether youβre an experienced coach, helping with a junior team, assisting at training, or a parent thinking, βI wouldn't mind helping, but I don't know enough about coachingβ β this is for you.
You do not need to be a cricket expert to start learning.
Coach360 provides modern, flexible learning that you can work through around your own schedule.
Inside Coach360 you'll find:
π Learning pathways for Blast, Junior and Senior cricket
π Structured coaching and certification journeys
π§ Short modules, podcasts, workshops and other learning options
π An open learning library to continue building your knowledge
π Recognition of your previous coaching accreditation and experience
π𧑠OUR GOAL AT THE BAY
We want to build something special at Runaway Bay.
Our goal isn't simply to have enough people standing beside a net at training.
We want to develop a club full of educated, confident and supported coaches who understand how to teach the game, communicate with young players and create an environment where kids can improve while still loving their cricket.
Imagine having parents and volunteers right across our junior club continually improving their coaching knowledge.
Better coaches create better experiences. Better experiences keep kids playing cricket.
That's what we're chasing.
π‘οΈ JUST AS IMPORTANT β GET YOUR BLUE CARD
Knowledge is one part of the equation.
Child safety is the other.
We're asking our coaches, managers and parents who regularly help with our junior program to make sure they have the appropriate Working with Children Blue Card.
We want Runaway Bay Cricket Club to work towards being one of the most knowledgeable and best-protected cricket environments possible for our children.
That's a standard we should all be proud to help build.
This isn't about ticking boxes.
It's about parents knowing that when they drop their son or daughter at the Bay, the club takes their development, wellbeing and safety seriously.
π¦ SAMMY'S CHALLENGE TO THE BAY
If you're already coaching β jump onto Coach360 and keep learning.
If you're helping at training β get involved.
If you're a parent who has thought about coaching but wasn't sure whether you knew enough β this is your opportunity to start.
And if you're involved with our juniors and haven't organised your Blue Card yet, please make it a priority.
It takes a whole club to create a great junior program.
We have some fantastic coaches and volunteers already, but imagine what the Bay could become if everyone kept learning together.
Let's not aim to simply meet the minimum standard.
Let's set the standard.
π More knowledgeable coaches. π‘οΈ Stronger child-safety practices. π Better support for our volunteers. 𧑠Better experiences for our kids. π¦ One stronger Bay community.
